MANAWA TIRITI
Māramatanga: Four Pou Rangahau underpin Manawa Tiriti:
Pou Rangatiratanga - Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Rights;
Pou Kaitiakitanga - Cultural Preservation and Empowerment;
Pou Oranga - Social Justice and Equity;
Pou Ture me Tikanga Māori - Legal Frameworks and Implementation.
These Pou encompass the key discourses that arise within Te Tiriti Rangahau, addressing a range of important issues related to governance, representation, cultural preservation, social justice, and the integration of tikanga Māori within legal frameworks. Each Pou will contribute to the broader understanding and exploration of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its implications in a future Aotearoa New Zealand.
Ngā Āhuatanga: Empowering, Inclusive, Transformative, Reconciliatory, Holistic.
Hapori: By engaging in Rangahau, hapori are supported to explore the complexities of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in ways that matter to them. Te Manawahoukura will foster an environment of knowledge exchange, where Māori as Tangata Whenua, Pākehā, and others as Tangata Tiriti can share their unique perspectives, cultural insights, and experiences. Rangahau encourages hapori to deepen their understanding, challenge existing narratives, and co-create new pathways that align with Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
