Mireille has a background in Marine Biology and moved to Aotearoa in 2005 to take up a position as a both a practicing deep-sea scientist and international project coordinator at the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (NIWA). Since 2014 Mireille has worked in research administration, supporting grant applications as well as working at one of Aotearoa’s largest funders of research, MBIE. In 2023 Mireille published “A funding adviser’s guide to writing a great grant application” in Nature Careers.
