Biography:

Griffa Rivers is a relatively new employee at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa in Tāmaki Makaurau, where she holds the position of Kaihāpai Rangahau Matua. With a strong background in education, she spent 11 years teaching, including 9 years in Kura Kaupapa Māori. A passionate advocate for te reo Māori, Griffa began learning the language in 2009 and she continues to develop her understanding of te reo as well as teaching it to adults. She is deeply interested in how Pākehā navigate the Māori world and is committed to continuous learning and growth.
