Experience
Ellie is an architectural and urban designer whose work centres around codesign in the built environment. Ellie’s mahi includes collaborative research and has earned some recognition. She received the F. Gordon Wilson Fellowship for her research on flood-resilient public housing, was a finalist in the Te Kāhui Whaihanga NZIA Student Design Awards for her exploration of the role of pākehā designers and decolonial codesign methods in architecture, and also secured a Summer Research Scholarship for her investigation into augmented reality as a codesign tool. Ellie has also contributed to design education, research and the development of innovative urban engagement tools.
